Mossel Bay Municipality in the Western Cape of South Africa

Knysna has always been the gem of the Garden Route. The town nestles between the impressive Outeniqua Mountains and the Indian Ocean, with the world renowned forests encircling it like a protective mantle. The award-winning 21ha estuary is protected from the sea by the monolithic sandstone "Heads" - silent, centuries old sentinels of the rich history of this unique part of paradise on earth. The municipal area covers a total of 1059 kmē that stretches from Swartvlei in Sedgefield in the west to Brackenhill in the east. It includes Sedgefield, Karatara, Buffalo Bay, Rheenendal, Brenton and Noetzie. Knysna is in many ways a microcosm of South Africa: beautiful, vibrant and diverse.

Cape Agulhas Municipality is a Category B (Local) Municipality situated within the Overberg District. The Municipal Area covers approximately 2411kmē and includes the towns of Bredasdorp and Napier, the coastal towns of Arniston, Struisbei, L'Agulhas and Suiderstrand and the rural settlements of Protem and Klipdale. It also includes Elim which is a private town and a vast rural area. The administrative seat of the Municipality is in Bredasdorp. Cape Agulhas Municipality is the southernmost municipality in Africa. Its coastline is surrounded by the Atlantic and Indian oceans which meet at the most southern town in Africa, namely L'Agulhas.
